Edinburgh—recognised as the principal State church of Scotland—has been made n Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order. Dr Williamson, who was appointed a Commander of the Order in 1919, is Chap-lain-in-Ordinary to the King in Scotland, and Dean of the Chapel of the Order of the Thistle. He was Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, 1913-14.
