EFFECT OF THE KING'S PROTEST LONDON, February 20. Trade in liritish typewriters bad a sudden boom yesterday ns the result of \ the- King’s condemnation at the HritI i ii Industries Fair at the White City of llu* use of foreign-made machines in liritish Government departments. Hundreds of orders, inquiries, and congratulations reached the Imperial Typewriter Company, of Leicester and High ITolborn, AV.C., according to Air N. W. R. Afawle. who tallied with the King mi Thursday. There was enthusiasm among the employees at the tine's factory in Leicester, where it is anticipated that 20 more men will la* taken on within six "weeks.
