ODDFELLOWS’ CONFERENCE.
AUCKLAX.PJ, April 13. The Manchester Unity Oddfellows’ Conference to-day resolved that llule 13 he amended to allow the appointment cf a public accountant as the Society auditor at each B.M.C. A remit giving the directors power to veto the appointment of, or to remove from oifice, any officer of any Lodge or district. and report to the B.M.C. if they consider that amalgamation or consolidation would improve such Jjodge or district, was carried. It was decided that the rules Ik- amended to provide for the investment of funds in local body bonds, debentures, or other security, except Hospital Board securities. SUDDE.V DEATH. HAMILTON. April 13. In connection with the death of the business man. 'William .Muir, who was found head downwards in a packing case on his premises yesterday, it was shown that the deceased had received treatment for blood pressure and heart trouble. His medical adviser had given a certificate to that effect.
