DAIRY CONTROL board ON .METHOD OF ELECTION ■To the Editor.) Sir,— It would appear that Messrs Grounds, Goodfellow and Co. are beginning to feel very insecure in their seats on the Dairy Board. Presumably they find it necessary to adopt such outrageous methods as they have determined on in order to retain them. Never in the history of the Dominion or of any other British country have such grossly unfair tactics been attempted in connection with such an election and it is a marvel they have the audacity to promulgate them. Their action is a clinching argument against their absolutism. It savours of sinister purposes, which should at once destroy any feeling that remains in the minds of the producers as to their sincerity, and shows them up a» being incapable ol solely conducting the great business which has been handed to them in trust. The Dairy Control Act in its present form became law through sheer bind. Ihe Absolute ( ontrolists secured their seats by more Mull and now they are attempting to retain them hv still more hlulf. The cable (published by Mr Grounds the other day was a. fair example of the tactics he and his friends are employing. It stated that Tooley Street was ready to finance the Board, hut said never a word about the terms and conditions it was imposing. What is the value of such half truths as this.—l am, etc.,
