ROSS SPORTS.

'l’he Annual Sports meeting which took place on the Ross Recreation Ground on Tuesday was the most successful meeting yet held. There was a large crowd present, the gate takings being a record. The various events were got off promptly and some close finishes recorded reflecting credit on the hamlicapper. Tha weather was perfect and a. most enjoyable day spent. The refreshment booth with the ladies committee in charge also did record business. The officials wore black arm badges in memory of the late J. AValton who had been ono of the officials for the present meeting and who had also rendered good services in the past.

The picture show in the evening drew a packed house, the takings also being a record. The dance which followed was largely attended, Miss Bello Evans supplying the music' and MRichards acting as M.C. The ladies committee again had charge of the supper arrangements and the end of a perfect day came at 3 a.m.
