LORRY SMASH. LEVIN. April 7. A serious collision took place at lour o’clock this afternoon at the Tyne Street level crossing, just inside ibo borough, when the south-bound express from New Plymouth struck a heavilyladen metal lorry, driven by Thomas Johnson, a young married man. who sustained serious injuries to tho head, and was removed to a private hospital. The lorry was completely wrecked, and the locomotive was disabled. The train was held up lor an hour and a half, as also was the Auckland express and a local express, while another engine was. procured.
