French rennet £-15 to £55. TALLOW. The spot market remains quiet and there is no change in prices. WOOL. Sales closed on Thursday with a firm tone. Offerings totalled 142,500 hides, of which 119,000 sold, Continent, Home trade 48,000, America 5000. Competition more widely distributed titan during previous series, and more confidence in prices at the close. Compared with last- series rates merino and fine crossbred 5 per cent higher, medium and coarse cross-bred par. Average holdings for higher rates: —60-64’s (merino), 3s Od to 2s per lb ; 50’s (super half-bred), Is GUI to 3s Oil per lb; 48s!)’s (fine cross-bred).
