The “English Futurists” concluded their season at the Princess Theatre last evening when there was another very appreciative audience. The programme submitted was an entirely new and complete one on lines of that of the previous evening. The death occurred at Epsom, Auckland, on Wednesday, of Mr John Walsh, third soil of Mr and Mrs Thomas Walsh, of South Beach, Greymouth. An accident happened on the Hokitika railway bridge yesterday afternoon about- 4 o'clock to Air C. B. Nelson, of Gn?ymouth, one of the iusual staff employed by the Railway Department in repair work on the bridge. The man fell from the scaffolding erected on the outside of the bridge, to the gravel bed of the river below, a distance of some 17 feel. He was in .great pain when picked up and was conveyed on a trolly lo the railway .station and thence by tlie ambulance to Westland Hospital for treatment. His injuries are understood to consist of a severe sprain of the lower part of tlio hack and considerable bruising.
