FLOODS IN AUSTRALIA

Several wa.shaways have occurred, as the result of the heavy rains, on sections of the railway lines near Mndgee. One train is held up between Mndgee and Wasliareli.
Timely warnings enabled the farmer to get clear with their effects.
In Sydney over five inches of rain fell in thirty six hours and it stii! continues. The wind during the night reached a velocity of fifty miles per hour and did minor damage.
Tt, is reported the MacQuarie River lias broken its banks at several places between Dubo and Wellington. The river is still rising.
