At the swimming carnival to-night the Queensland champion, Crier, appeared in the one hundred yards seratcii race, mooting Dowsett. of Wanganui, the Now Zealand champion. Crier led throughout. fu an official attempt to break tho New Zealand 100 yards intermediate' girls' record. Marie Farquhar was' successful clipping one-fifth of a. second otf the record. She covered the distance in 09 l-ssecs. At water polo the Diomedes team beat the Delhi.
