STEAM HEATING. BERLIN, March 22. Ciiailottenburg Municipality is introducing long distance steam heating from a central furnace supplying schools and civic buildings, also enabling house wives to turn on a tap like gas or water. Berlin is adopting the scheme and installing ■it in Government offices. Doctors predict steam heating will eliminate the smoke, nuisance resulting from thousands of chimneys. AX EARTHQUAKE.
