[Australia & N.Z. Cable Association.) WESTPORT, March 21. At the Westport Boxing Association’s tourney on Saturday evening Dick Loveridge (Taranaki), 10.6 wrested the New Zealand welterweight championship from Clarrie Blackburn (Australia) 10.7, Blackburn retiring at the end of the eighth round, stating his vision was affieeted by a knock over the eye. As far as it went, the fight was a good one, but Loveridge was the moro vimful and had a good lend when Blackburn withdrew. In the final of the Williams Cup Jack Woodward defeated R. Hay McKenzie and the cup was presented by the Hon G. J. Anderson, 'who congratulated the Asociation on staging such a good tourney and the winner on his fine performance. Hon Anderson also presented a gold medal by Mr Fred Keating, to Loveridge on his win in tho professional bout. SYDNEY, March 21. At the Stadium Sunny Jim Williams defeated Len Johnson on points in a twenty rounds contest, after a crude exhibition. BERLIN, March 20. Tn a heavy-weight boxing contest of ten rounds, the German, Heymann outpointed Blackie Miller, the Australian.
