BV TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSN'., COPYRIGHT. A FCK LAND. .March 18. At the swimming carnival here toil igiit. Grier, the Queensland swimmer won the hundred yards scratch race in 58 seconds, with Adamson second, and Fairgrav third. Grier broke the New Zealand 100 yards record by threefifths of a second.
Miss Gladys Pidgeon broke the New Zealand record for 220 yards ladies’ breast-stroke by one-fifth of a second, doing the journey in 3min. 40sec.
