That tho Canadian Government has favoured calling an Imperial Conference in 1927, instead of next October, was revealed in correspondence between British and Canadian officials, that was tabled in the House of Commons. Mr Baldwin, however, having intimated that other Dominions, preferred to meet next October, and that the British Government shared this view, the Canadian Government on February 19th concurred in the piposal for ii conference in October. CANADIAN STATE SHIPS*. OTTAWA, March 10 Fifteen vessels belonging' to the Canadian Government Marine have been sold since 1922. It was disclosed in Parliament on .Monday that eleven ves. sc ls, costing originally 8,273,000 dollars had been sold for six hundred thousand dollars. One vessel costing five hundred and eighty-throe thousand dollars was bought for twenty thousand dollars. CANADIAN FINANCE. OTTAWA, March 15. Tho main estimates for the next fiscal year, amounting for the Government service to 3 to,/ 71.30 1 dollars, were tabled in Parliament on Monday by the Finance Minister, Mr Robb. They represent a decrease of 5,652,072 dollars from tho total estimates in last fiscal year.
The Canadian national railways estimates were thirtv-onc million dollars. An operation loss of 140,880 dollars was sustained in 1924 by the Canadian Government merchant marine fleet of fortv-four vessels.
