EVERYBODYS PICTURES. “STRAIGHT THROUGH’' AND “STEItEOSCOPI KS’’ TO-NIGHT 'William Desmond is Lo 1.-o seen in a new role in “Straight Through,’’ a Blue Streak Western, in which he will lie .starred in the Princess Theatre, to-night. 'I he role is that of a man whose attempts to aid others aro misunderstood to such effect that ho rinds himself in great trouble. The scene of the story is a mining camp town and the character' portrayed by Desmond starts out itt the story as an all-round bad man. who reforms as the result of an unusual experience. After his reformation he becomes known as (food Deed O’Day, because of bis propensity for doing good deeds, ft is when be tries to protect a woman whom his best friend Itail married, in ignorance of her rather unconventional past, that o’Day’s troubles begin. The story is a melodrama with a decided comedy angle, as well as the love interest that develops between O’Day and the sister oi his friend. A mini her of desperate lights and some spectacular- horsemanship are displayed in this picture which was directed by Arthur Tlosson. The star is supported by a cast of wellknown screen players, including Marguerite Clayton, Ruth Slonohonse. Claude Payton, Albert ,J. Smith, P,ill Gillis, Frank Brownlee and George Marion. One of the comedy scenes is a poker game in which eight aces appear- in one deal. A good supporting series will also he shown, including the second scries of “Stereoseopiks” dealing: with Coney Island. We arc repeating this picture to suit those who missed seeing it on Friday last.
