BOLD HEAD SALE. On 'Wednesday at the above yards .Messrs W. Jeffries and Co held their autumn sale of stock. The entry comprised 50 sheep and lambs and 147 head of cattle. The quality was good throughout, most of the cattle pens comparing favourably with the lots usually offered at Watama and some llcrefords were to be got. Competition was spirited from start to finish, practically everything being sold. Forward three-year llcrefords inside to bill. Two-year-olds to 10. a very even line of two to two and si-half year shorthorn cross steers of Mr G. I,initiator milking the latter prices. There was keen competition for young cattle, suckers making the excellent priee of £5 2s (id. while Co was recorded far a line of eight-month-olds for Mr W. Wright. Sheep also sold
