.Messrs 11. Matson and Co., report as follows regaiding their stock sals at Addington yards yesterday : Smre Sheep : —The largest yarding .this season and at. the time of sending this report at • .33 p.m. there were still SCO era! races to be said. There wore net so many lambs, but a large proportion of North Island ewes. Lambs were better by Is to 2s per bead. Practically no wethers were yarded, one real good line making ‘ids 9d. The quality of the ewes was very irregular, and considering the tremendous yarding, tile sale must be considered a good one. The largest proportion of the entry went to bona tide farmers. Rest forward lambs made 20s (id to 22s Id. extra to 235. medium 19s to 20s, others Ids to 18s (id. while culls made down to l-!s; host Romney cross 2 and 4 tooth owes 3(is, medium ditto 25s (Id to 29s (Id, best 4, G and S tooth ditto 31s Gd. medium 25s to 28s, s.m. ditto 21s Gd to 255. extra to 29s Gd. full and failing to IDs. The market started to sag somewhat towards the concluding stages. Store Cat tie On Iv a medium yarding, hut the same old tale, practically only nondescript and odd lots wore yarded. There were a few odd polls ol steers offering, eighteen months old steers made £1 ss, 2! rears ditto £" Ts fid, ami 3 year ohfditto £9 10s, 18 month old heifers £3 IDs Gd. Fat Rigs:—qV medium entry of porkers and baeotters, including a lair entry from the West Coast. The sale was buoyant throughout and very satisfactory prices recorded, porkers and bneoners showing an adavaneo on late rates. Tallies: light porkers 31s to G3s. heavy GBs to 755. average Sid to 9d: light baeotters Cl to £1 15s. heavy £5 to £5 15s, extra to £0 10s. average 8d to 9d. Store Pigs:-—Not a very large yarding. Won tiers receded in price from Is to 5s a head, while medium and large stores sold freely at late rates. Yaittes: weaners 15s Io 20s. extra to 2fis, slips 28s to 30s. medium 36s l" IGs. large 50s- to 57s (Id. Reef:—A large entry comprising 512 head against- 3,86 last week. being mostly cows. Aliy decent steers sold well, hut on tliogvholo the market was slightly easier. ? Prime steers made CRt pis to £lB lbs. extra Io C2O 2s-fid. lighter £VI to £l2 15s, others to £O. prime heifers C 7 io £8 15s, extra in CIO I Os. medium £5 7s Gd to £G l->s. others to £! 15s. prime cows £7 5s ~, do 10s. extra to £lO. medium £.-, |os to £7. fighter to £l. Mutton:—A slightly larger entry than last week and again mostly ewes. The quality was very irregular, hut :»ny poo<l stuff sold well. There was not. much difference to last week’s sale, taking if all round. Prime wethers made 31s to 35s lOd. extra to 39s Id. medium 28s Gd to 30s fid. others to 25s fid. prime ewes 23s fid to 2Gs 9d. extra, to 3 1s Id, medium 19s Gd to 235. lighter and inferior to 13s fid. Fat. Lambs: —A small yarding, hut ;i good sab' throughout.. Exporters were operating keenly and secured the bulk of the. entry at about Is Id above last week and well above schedule P>'i<‘es. ______
