AH Loeker-T.ampson, replying to Sir Newton Moore stated he had no information regarding the decision ot the Amiens City Council to auction war trophies, including Big Bertha, captured bv the Australians at Cliuignolles in 'l9lß. and presented to Amiens in memory of tho Australian defence thereof. Even if tho sale were projected, it was not a mat tel where in tho Government with propriety intervene.
