Australia is far the largest importer of motors in the world, buying in 192324, 70178 motor chassis, and in 192425 motors (including chassis) .to the value of £11,500.000. New Zealand’s purchases were in 1921 valued at £3,500.000 and South Africa’s at £2,800.000. India purchased considerably less, the value of her imports (including motor-cycles) being £1,700,000 in 1924.
