Rescue Event for two men.— to Kuiti, 25 1-osecs, l; Hawcra, 28 2-5 secs., 2; Hillside Railway, 2!) secs., 3. Hose and Hydrant Event lor three men.—Unworn 20 2-osecs., 1 ; Dniinevirke, 27 3-osecs., 2; 'I hames, 29 1-osees 3. Four teams tied for fourth place. The run off resulted : Greenlane 32secs, 1; Te Arolm 38 2-osecs., 2: Taihape 43sees., 3; Stratford, 17 2-osecs., 4. The Shield points gained by the leading brigades at the conclusion ol yesterday’s eonipetiions are as follows: — Championship Shield (all events except the motor events). —Unworn 2i points; Te Kuiti 18: Hillside Railway [2.1; Danuevirke 9; Taihape 9; Gore 8; Thames 7; Te Arohn 0; AVhangarei 0; Greenlane 4] : Oamaru 3; Christchurch City 3; Onehunga 3; Stratford 2; Hastings 2. Pressure Shield (all events except motor). —Ha went 12 points; Danuevirke 9; Thames 7; Greelnne 5, 9 e Arolia 4 ; Taihape 3. Manual Shield.—Hawcra 27 points, Te Kuiti 18, Hillside Railway 12.1, Dannevirko 9, Taihape 9, Gore 8, Thames 7, Te Arolia 6, AVhangarei 6. Greenlane 4], Oamaru 4, Christchurch City 3, Onehunga 3, Stratford 2, Hastings 2. DUNEDIN, March o. The Firemen's Demonstration was continued this morning. The tour men hose and reel event resulted: Hawcra 45 secs, 1; Taumaranui 45 2-osecs, 2; Thames 47secs, 3; Te Kuiti 48socs, 4j Hastings 48 1-5 sees. Sumner 48 1-5 sees, Hillside. 49 3-5 secs. Hastings and Sumner decided to divide the fifth and sixth prize money. Hastings tossed for and won the odd half point for tho championship shield. The following are the progress points for the shield to noon :—Championship Shield—Hawcra 13, Te Kuiti 24), Thames 16), Hillside 22), Taumarunui 12), Dannevirko 9; High Pressure Shield—Hawcra 29, Thames 16), Taumarunui 12), Dannevirko 9), Te Kuiti 6), Greenlane 5.
