WEDDING BELLS

MeEWAN—KING. A very pretry and popular wedding was celebrated yesterday at tile Presbyterian Church. Hokitika, the Uev. P. B. Eraser officiating. The contracting parties were Mr James McKay AlcKwan. son of Mr and Airs' AlcEwan of Brunner, and .Miss .Marion Campbell King, second daughter of Mr and .Mrs James King, of Hokitika. The bride entered the Church on the arm of her father, and was dressed in cream morocain, and wore the usual orthodox wreath and veil, the gift of her aunts. Aliss H. -J. Thomson King (sister) assisted at bridemaid, and was dresed ill pink morocain with cream crinoline hat. Both carried handsome l*mqnets, kindly presented by Airs S. Aloore. The bridegroom was supported by Air David Francis. The wedding breakfast was held at the residence of the bride’s parents, over 00 guests being present. The happy couple were the recipients of many handsome presents .including a number" i f cheques and a large number of congratulatory telegrams were received from various parts of the Dominion. The church was nicely decorated for the occasion by the bride’s friends, and Aliss Phyllis Thompson assisted at the organ after the ceremony. The happy pair left by ear, en route for Dunedin.
