The Committee met at 7 p.m. Present: Messrs H. Swemev (voted to tlie chair), Wells, Haseler. Redder, Richards. and Conning (lion sec).
The minutes were confirmed and outward correspondent/? approved. T AWARD COR RLSPON DEX OE. Emm Dental Nurse notifying that she had treated 1(5 children at Waitaha during Jtinnary—Received. The Rector advised there was a possibility of Miss Sanclt'rson being transferred to Chrixtrliirreh.
Irom Teacher. South Spit, notifying roll number as In and average attendance 1 I ; asking for attention to repair to chimney top. Received, to be attended to.
The Rector (Air l’artridgo) reporting roll number was 318 primary. (>3 secondary and average attendance 281>.0 and fiti.o. Three probationers had been appointed and had taken up their duties. Miss Penlington. assistant b.’acher had been notified by the Board that owing to falling attendance her services may he terminated at the end of the present quarter: Air Beck, assistant teacher had terminated his duties having been appointed to Alotueka School and a female assistant relieving teacher was being sent next week to take up his duties ; referring to success of school picnic, giving particulars of the Dunedin Exhibition excursion for school children, notifying hot drinks Would be supplied during lulieli hour, and mentioning a. number of .small requirements about (lie school ami grounds.- Received. The Chairman expressed pleasure at Air Partridge being able to personally take charge of the scholar-.’ school excursion to 1)n nod in.
