THE DUNEDIN EXHIBITION

SIR F. HEATH IMPRESSED. DUNEDIN, February 25. The big brass bands contest has drawn large attendances to the Exhibition this week in suite of the absence of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, who will resume their afternoon and evening concerts on Monday. Yesterday's tally was 15,(5(55, bringing the grand attendance up to 1,750,471. Sir Frank Heath, Secretary of the British Department of Scientific, and Industrial Research, has been greatly impressed by Hie magnitude and wonderful scope of the exhibition. In a hurried interview with a reporter, he said: “ 1 am proud—(hill is about all I can say about it; hut. really, it has brought home to me, especially your New Zealand Industries’ Court, the wonderful industrial advance made by New Zealand in a way your cannot get, even by travelling round the country. II is almost miraculous to think that all Ibis lias been done in loss than three generations. Ihe time spent, here is worth more than weeks of travelling. I should like to put the whole week in at the Exhibition. T have been very much impressed.”
