EXCURSION TO EXHIBITION.
HOKITIKA TO DUNEDIN IN ONE DAY.
The Secretary of the Chamber of Commerce ha- received the following particular- from the District Traffic Manager relative to the above: • - tn connection with Lite Dunedin Exhibition it is proposed to run a trot I'rom the West Coast to Dunedin on Wednesday, Kfih. March, returning leaving Dunedin 13th. March. 1 lie special train has been arranged in order that the general public on the Coast; mav Cnvel to and from Dunedin :il a minimum cost and loss of time and it is desired that your hearty cooperation in the matter of publicity should he given. The train would leave Ross at 6.10 a.m.. Hokitika 7.27 a.m., Txumara 8.10 a.m., Greymouth 8.55 a.m.. arriving at Dunedin 10.27 p.m.
The return train from Dunedin on the 13th. Mareli would leave at 7.15 a.m.. arriving Grey mouth B.AO p.m.. Kuniarn 9.35 p.m.. Hokitika 10.18 p.m. Do--- 11.10 p.m.
These trains have been timed to run d express speed. Chair seated ears *.ili li*; provided and everything posable will be. done to provide for the
• •oiufort of passengers. Meal- may be obtained at Otira. Springfield. Asliburt ii. Oamaru and Palmer-ton. In ori'i.'i* to reduce the time in running it is not; proposed to run into ('hi'i-irhurrh on either journey. The train will require to be limited to 12 cars leaving Stillwater which will b** equal to about 270 passengers. It is not expected that tin’s number can be obtained from your district and I propose to run a train from Reeflon in conjunction with the Ross (rain, [I is particularly desired that children travelling by this train bo restricted as far as possible. Tf any desire to travel they will require to pay half the excursion fare.
Tf it is possible lo organise a children's excursion lo Dunedin Ibis can he arranged later. The price of these fares may he olilained from any s| at ionmastor on application. These far s would only he issuable to parlies of 2(1 and over. The fares for the excursion on the 10th.
