ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET.
WEST COAST PIGS AITSS MARKET

CHRISTCHURCH, This Hay. Messrs H. Matson and Co., teport as follows regaiding their stock sals in Addington yards yesterday : -- Store Seep:—Another large yarding which comprised mostly of lambs, but nearly all of these were lialf-breds from North Canterbury. Not many really good rape lambs were entered. Considering the continued dry spell and the reduction in fat lamb prices the sales were linn. Not many wethers were yarded and large proportion of ewes were from Gisborne, Marlborough, and Westland. Lest half-bred wether lambs made Ills (id to 2i!s, medium 11s to 10s, others to 8s 6d, best forward rape lambs about 21s (id. Ewes, for tin* most part, were travelled sheep, .several pens of North Island Romney ewes sold well. Best 2-tooth Romneys 21- to 20- fid, medium 2is fid to 23 (id. others to 19s, guaranteed months best 2-1.- to 255. medium 21s to 235, others to 17s; culls proportionately lower; wethers, best 23- !>d to 21s (id, inferior to IDs (id. Store Cattle:—Only a medium entry, and. as usual, made upol odd cows and nondescript hiLs. There were no quotable sales. One small pen of 2 and 3 vein* old steel 1 -, £A lis fid.
Fat Pigs: - Owing to no West Censl stock getting through the yarding was just an average one. about 2D porkers being yarded. The sale was very tui-
11 . being up and down throughout and. if anything, a feu* shillings higher lit the finish for heavy porkers.. Of I acuiiers there was only a medium yarding. but competition was keen throughout and all classes sold really well. Store Pigs: Duly a medium entry. All good quality sorts sold well up to late rates, but rough and unfinished acre hard to quit. Value.-: small weaners and poor quality Pis I > l*!s.

The quality all round was very irregular and any good quality I'd- ol both wethers and ewes sold well above schedule prices, hut. taking the market all round, there was little* difierenee from last week. Towards the end. the sale slackened somewhat. Exporters operated t.liroughoul. Prime wethers 20s to 31 fid. extra to 33s lOd. medium 2(is (ill to 2Ss (id. other to 22s lod. prime ewes 20s (id to 23s Oil. extra in 2ns 10d. medium 2fls (id to 20s. others t o 13s fid. Lambs:—-Only a .'medium yarding. The quality was very mixed, graziers operating on any lambs showing u .mi of finish. Exporters were operating on all classes and in our opinion the overall prices show little difference to the last sale. _____
