Halm won the mile and was third in the MO. heating Kyle, the hrialliant Wellingtoniun by the barest margin. The American distance man did not start in the half mile. Kyle (ser) I. Time others. Kyle led Halm by two yards throughout until the tape was reached, which they breasted practically together.
One .Mile.—Hahn (ser) 1, Trotter ■ 160yds) 2. Drewe (152yds) 3. Won easily. The American took the lead at (he commencement of the last lap, and running strongly, cleared away front his field, and won in the record time of Imin 34 0-osecs, which was good, considering the soft track.
