The final test will lie on Tuesday, when the points will ho announced. In the trombone trio section, fifteen trios faced the judge, Mr F. J. Ricketts. The playing was of good average standard. Xo points will he announced in this section until Thursday evening, v uen the lour leading ttios will play off. The playing in the E Flat Bass solo section, in which eighteen competitors faced the judge, wars well up to the standard usually hoard at contests. Two players had tied for first place, the judge.
