BOWLING TO URN AM ENT. [by TELEGRAPH —PEP. PRESS ASSOCIATION’.] HAMILTON, Feb. 19. The North Island rinks bawling tournament concluded to-day. Beautiful weather marked the five days of play, the greens being in great order. In the semi-finals, Pilklngton (Hamilton) heat Feilding (liataitai) 2b-] 7. and Hosknig (Carlton) heat Bell (Hamilton) 24-27. The final resulted in a victory for •i. Smith, F. T. Wilson. L. K. .Mclntyre. and 1!. X. Piikington (skip), of Hamilton. 2.3, over Guy, Wrightson. J. Hoskings, and (1. Hosgings (skip), of Carlton. 14.
Play was of a very high standard, being notable for a wonderful recovery bv Hamilton in the concluding stages. Husking had a 1 good lead up- Lo the fifteenth head, but tho game became level at the 16th. Pilkington’s team played at the top of their form after that, and rail out comfortable winners.
