TOTARA SALE YARDS. M c.Mii lion mill Luo, Auctioneers, Ueefton, report having hold ;i sale at fho above yards cm the 12th instant. The sale was largely attended hv farmers and graziers throughout the Oroy Yalloy and from as far south as Hokitika and Kokatalii districts. The entries comprised 125 head of store rattle and 107 store ewes, out of which McMahon and Lee’s entry was IOS cattle. The majority ol the yarding consisted of grown cattle, all good sorts and colours. These cattle attracted good competition from graziers and contrary to expectations they realised better prices than for similar classes of cattle which were sold through these yards last November. Almost the whole yarding was cleared at auction, and very few passings were made. The following sales took place:—3 forward bullocks 5 and (1 years old at CIO I Os, 34 store bullocks 3, 4 and 5 year olds at €8 7s Cxi. -1 3 and 4 year old bullocks at £8 10s, 9 store bullocks 3 venrs old at £7 15, 20 store bullocks 2\ years old at £6 2s 6d, 6 store bullocks at 2| years old at £5, 3 store heifers 24 years old at £4 15s. 3 heifers 2 year olds at £3. 11 mixed store entile 15 months old at £2 15s, 3 yearling steers at £2 10s, 2 store cows at £2 ss.
