Borough Handicap—Joy Ride 1. Mosaic and Miss Vera (dead heat) 3. Won by three-quarters of it length. Time L3l 3-5. Farewell Handicap.—Exactly 1, Ripon Abbey 2. Air Queen 3. Won by three-quarters of length. Time 1.15 1-5. During the presentation of tbs Cup to Mr Dobson, owner of Hangawera, the geyser sent up a glorious shot on the edge of the lake, in full view of the spectators, the mass of steam being a glittering sight in the sky. The donors of the Cup, the Ngata-Wakauae Tribe, have now named it the Hangawera geyser.
