— EVERYBODYS PICTURES. POLA XEOlil—TO-XIGIIT. Robert Frncer obtained bis first engagement on the stage by committing a harmless forgery! The popular leading man, who plays opposite Pola Negri in her latest Paramount picture, “ Men,” produced by Dimitri JJuchowetski, and due at the Princess Theatre to-night, at that time was working in a grocery store, but cherished a strong desire to be an actor. Several travellers told him the only way to get on the stage was to convince a stock company that lie already had experience. With this in mind, Frazor had several programmes printed which included his name. In the same list with himself he used the names of Maude Adams, E. H. Sotheru and several other famous stage players. Ho sent the programmes to a travelling stock company with a letter stating that he was an “ A-one Juvenile.” One day while lie was covered with flour and molasses the head of the stock company walked in and asked for him. TTo was engaged at fifteen dollars a week and ordered to report two days later. One week with the stock company linished Frazer’s first professional experience. Just nine days from the time he left the grocery shop he was hack again in charge of the flour and molasses. The following four years were filled with repetitions of fliis experience, hut persistence finally won. and Frazer found himself in New York playing in stock. Included with Robert Frazer in the cast of “Moil,” arc Hubert Fdeson. Joseph Swickard, Monti Collins, (lino Carrado and Edgar Norton. Further chapters of tile new serial, starring William Desmond and Eileen Sedgwick in “ Boasts of Paradise,” will also he shown.
