The wife was staying with her parents and at midnight the house was discovered in flames and on emerging it is stated that- all three were assaulted. tho wife being stabbed by Sutherland, who then disappeared. Tho wife lost a groat deal of blood and is in a serious condition. Both women were hospital led. The house was reduced to ashes.
