MOTOR CONTROL CONFERENCE.
WELLINGTON, February 1.
The Motor Regulations Conference ended without any definite agreement being arrived at. The concluding stage of the Conference to-day showed that the interests of the Ims owners and the municipal authorities on this particular question are as wide apart as the poles and that weeks of discussion would not solve the essential difficulties, which keep the parties at variance. Rt. Hon. Mr Coates, in closing the deliberations, said that although it would not lie possible to satisfy everyone. he thought regulations could be secured which would prove to be of benefit to the community as a whole. Air Coates was thanked for the manner in which he had conducted the eonfere nre. During the debate it was stated by the bus owners representatives that e attitude of tHe municipal corporations had been most autocratic and narrow visioned. No resolutions were passed, the delegates recognising the futility of such purpose,
