44 HOURS WEEK RULING
SYDNEY, Feb. 9. At the Police Court, the Magistrate ruled that the New South Wales For-ty-four Hours Week Act may ho applied to the employees working under Federal awards. The ruling arose out of the action taken by a member of the Engineers’ Union, wherein there is a certain amount of overtime from the Clyde Engineering Coy., which deducted the overtime pay as under that State award lie men worked only forty-four hours per week, instead of forty-eight as provided by the Federal award.
