AH API UK A FAT STOCK SALE. .1 KI'FI!IKS AND CO’S REPORT. At yesterday's fixture in the above yards 70 prime Canterbury sheep and 77 "head of Const cattle tv ere yarded to the usual attendance of buyers. Competition for sheep tv as by no means brisk though the quality was equal to I lie best. For the entile sections, there was keen demand, quality again selling up to last day’s prices, finished ox beef making 15s and tbs. There was a large yarding; of cows, very lew being prime, and the best selling up to :18s per hundred, while a great many unfinished pens varied from 20s to 30s. Messrs \V. HOUSTON AND CO.’S REPORT. Alessrs AI. Houston and Co. report:— Wo held our usual fortnightly sale at the above yards yesterday, our entry consisting of 130 fat sheep and 44 head of fat cattle. The usual buyers were in attendance and competition was very keen for all finished lines ot fat cattle* at prices in advance of those of the last sale, being fully up to Addington prices. AVell finished ox and heifers of medium weight realised from 40s to 42s Gd per bunded, heavy and plainer from 35s to 38s and cow beef from 25s to 35s according to quality. Although there was a fairly heavy entry at the yards the sale was an exceptionally good one for this period of the year. There were some splendid pens of fat sheep offered but competition for these was dull and prices were down considerably. Wo sold as follows:On account of T. Staines 28 fat ewes at 23s 6d, 31 fat wethers at. 295, 30 fat wethers at 335. 19 at 295, 22 at 335: on account of L. Keech 1 fat cow at £ll 12s Gd, 1 at £8 7s 6d, 1 at £9 17s 6d ; on account of T). F. Diedrichs 2 bullocks at £l2 2s Gd, 2 at £ll 17s 6d. 2 at £l2 15s. 2 at £l3 7s 6d, 2 at £l2 10s, 3 heifers at £S2 at £7; on account of T. Staines 1 cow at £6 15s, 1 at £5, 1 sucker at £5 os, 1 at £3 2s 6d. 1 at 30s, 1 cow at £7 ss, 2 at £6. 1 store cow at 15s; on account of P.
