The Secretary. Mr .larnian, spent Wednesday in the Koiterangi district and together with Mr Houliston, interviewed a large number of the farmers. They metwith every encouragement and indi-
cations joint to very general support from that part. It remains but for the other sections of the farming communit to give like support so that the townspeople may see that those principally concerned are alive to their own interests, and at the same time support the practically unanimous resolution of a recent general meeting that the shows should be continued and made a thorough success. The Railway authorities arc out to assist the local effort, since the District Traffic Manager has advised that holiday excursion tickets will be issued to Hokitika from Otira. Tnaugahua Junction. Blackball. Rewanui, Ross and intermediate stations on Thursday, Feb. 18th.. and special excursion tickets will lie issued to Hokitika' from Greymouth. Ro.ss and intermediate stations on 19th February, by trains arriving at Hokitika up to 2.30 p.m. On the 19th. February a train for Hokitika will leave Ross at 9.30 a.m. arriving at Hokitika at 10.25 a.m., and leaving Hokitika again at 6.50
p.m. Trains will also leave Greymouth at 7.50 a.m. and 12.15 p.m. arriving at Hokitika at 9.25 a.m. and 1.50 p.m. and will leave for the return journey at 5.55 p.m.
