The Railway authorities arc out to assist the local effort, since the District Traffic Manager has advised that holiday excursion tickets will be issued to Hokitika from Otira. Tnaugahua Junction. Blackball. Rewanui, Ross and intermediate stations on Thursday, Feb. 18th.. and special excursion tickets will lie issued to Hokitika' from Greymouth. Ro.ss and intermediate stations on 19th February, by trains arriving at Hokitika up to 2.30 p.m. On the 19th. February a train for Hokitika will leave Ross at 9.30 a.m. arriving at Hokitika at 10.25 a.m., and leaving Hokitika again at 6.50

p.m. Trains will also leave Greymouth at 7.50 a.m. and 12.15 p.m. arriving at Hokitika at 9.25 a.m. and 1.50 p.m. and will leave for the return journey at 5.55 p.m.
