[by TELEGRAPH —PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] ACQUITTAL ON BETTING CHARGE. AUCKLAND, Fob. 3. At the Supreme Court, Walter Gibson Rae was charged with ljookmaking at Takapuna races. He was acquitted. A constable said he made bets with the accused, but the accused, in evidence, denied that he had ever acted as a bookmaker. INDECENT ASSAULT CHARGES. AUCKLAND, Feb. -3. At the Supreme Court, William MeKenzie, a bricklayer, charged with indecent assault on a girl aged eight at Kohukohu was acquitted. Mr Justice Herdman directing the jury to return a verdict of “not guilty” in view of the unsatisfactory evidence. The Grand Jury returned no bill in the case of David Ernest Rickit, charged with making a false delearation of marriage. \ T ictor Timothy Gill, charged with indecent exposure, was acquitted.
