.’Australia & N.Z. Cable Association.] POSTPONEAIENT ASSURED. GENEVA, February 1. Five members of the League of Nations Council, including France, Italy and Japan, have requested a postponement of the meeting of the Preparatory Commission for a disarmament conference, fixed for February loth. The Secretary of the League telegraphed the suggestion to other members of the League, tbe Councillors am! the invitees to the Commission. A majority for an adjournment i; assured, owing to Spain accepting the proposal.
