M. RAKOVSKY AND THE BAND.
PARIS.. November 28. .Mlull discussion is going on in official circles as to whether the French Government should accede to the request of Al. Kahovsky, the new Bolshevist Ambassador, that he should bo greeted by th 6 “ Internationale,” played by a French military band, when he* drives to the Elyse'e, to present his credentials to the President of the Republic in a few days’ time. Protests are raised that since the ■■Marseillaise” is forbidden in Moscow the “ Internationale ” should not be played on official occasions in Paris. It is recalled that when M. Jean Morbctet. the French Ambassador in .Moscow, presented his credentials the band of the Bed Guards played an air from “ Carmen.”
