BOWLING.

HOKITIKA v. GREYMOUTH. Four rinks from the Greymouth Club tame down to Hokitika yesterday afternoon to play a game for the Reynolds Badges held by Hokitika, the visitors having an easy victory, winning by SO to 63. Afternoon tea was provided by the ladies and was fully appreciated. The afternoon was fine and warm but the green was very heavy as a result of the. rain the previous day and night. The Reynolds Badges were secured by Mr W. Fletcher’s rink. After the play Mr H. A. Thompson (Vice-President) congratulated the visitors on their success, expressing regret that the green had not been faster, but that was due to the elements over which they had no control. He was pleased to welcome the 'Wednesday players and glad to know they bad succeeded in securing the badges.

Mr J. Tvvlc (Vice-President of the Greymouth Club) thanked the members of the Hokitika Club, especially the ladies for their very kind reception and hospitality which they greatly appreciated. They hoped to have the opportunity and pleasure of returning it at an early date. He was naturally pleased with their unexpected success. Hearty cheers for the Clubs and the ladies concluded an interesting afternoon.
