Stumps were then drawn. The weather was fine and the wicket good. Collins’s display was one of the best he has given. He scored at a fast rate, and, opening with Bardsley, reached the sixties while Bardsley was still in the twenties. His innings was without blemish. The scoring slowed considerably when Kippax and Kelleway were ill ■ partnership, neither taking any chances.
