ARAHURA FAT STOCK SALE
JEFFRIES AND CO’S REPORT
At yesterday’s fortnightly fixture field at Araliura 69 head of fat eat tie were submitted to competition. The quality of the entries ranged irom fair to good and as at the previous fixture competition was quite satisfactory for all prime -pens. Ox beef made Irom 40s to 46s per hundred, cow and heifer beef eased somewhat in price ami ranged from 32s (is to 37s Od per hundred. 'I lie top price for the day was £lB for a Holstein bullock sold on account of .Ur A. Oriffjn whose entiy was a particularly good one. -Messrs \\ . Jeffries and Co. sold as follows :

Al. HOUSTON AND CO’S REPORT. .Messrs AL Houston and Co report:— At the above sale yesterday our entry consisted of 50 fat cattle, which were submitted to the usual attendance of buyers. The competition was good for all finished lines, prices realised being on a par with those of last sale. Good ox and heifer beef averaged about 37s per hundred, and cow beef and light heifer from 25s to 3-Os. \Ye sold os follows : On account of T. Staines 2 bullocks at £7 15s, 1 cow at £6 7s Gd, 1 at £9 17s (id. 3 heifers at £8 17s Gd, ] at £ll ss, 2 bullocks at £l2 12s Gd. 1 at £l3 2s (id, 1 cow at £7 1.7 s fid. 2 bullocks at- £l3. 5 at £l.l 10s, 1 stag at £2; on account of Cunningham Bros, 2 cows at £6 15s, 2 heifers at £(i 15s. 2 at £4 10s. 3 at £5.
