DUNEDIN, -Jan. 21. Now and again one hears complaints of the poor equipment of some Government official whose business it is to furnish tourists with information about New Zealand. The depths have surely been plumbed hy the Government Tourist Bureau official who took part, in the following conversation, which hut for the unimpeachable source of the information, would sound incredible. Exhibition North Island visitor: “AA'ould you favour me with information in regard to Stewart Island?” Government official: “Stewart Island? Sorry madam, but we have no information beyond New Zealand.”
