The •‘Daily Telegraph’s” Rome correspondent says: "A surprising statenent was made atan interview by the Dowager Queen Olga of Greece, who is residing here. It is that the letter read by King Kerdiuald at the State Council containing Prince Carol’s abJication was never written by Prince Carol. He was not even aware of its contents. Queen Olga continued: “1 do not believe this love adventure will lmve any lasting effect on Carol. It is. a passing caprice, of which political intrigue took advantage. Some days ago Carol spoke of bis being a. compulsory exile from his country, bis wife and jijs son. whom he adored, and, m writing In a friend recently, he i.eclareil 'that he himself was the victim of foul political intrigue.”
