NEW YORK, Jan. 18
An international organisation to combat the teaching of the theory oi evolution in the schools, has been founded in Atlanta. Edward A (Ming Clarke, formerly the “Imperial Vizard” of the Klu Klux Klan, will direct this organisation, which, as yet. has not been named. Clarke said that lie expected Unit, hv August. Bureaus will he established in England, Australia, and Canada —all being under the jurisdiction or llic Atlanta Association. He said this movement is neither sponsored mm endorsed l»v the Klu Klux Klan. Clarke said:—“We are formulating plans which, will be definitely announced shortly. They will incude the bansihnuent Horn every gi annum school, every high school, and every university in the world, of any teacher who expounds the Darwinian theorv. We are proceeding on the knowledge that the evolution doctrine is an experimental theory, and an unproved hypothesis. I<> teach such as a proven fact would he a dangerous leaching.” NEW YORK.
