DR. GEY'S DISCOVERY DISCOUNTED. ["Sydney Sun” Cables.] LONDON, Jan. 19. Sir George Beatson, surgeon at die Glasgow cancer hospital, doubts Dr. Guv’s and Air Barnard’s claim 'bat they have discovered the cancer germ. Sir George Beatson expresses the opinion that the photographs revealed, not the germ, but a synthetic creation, due to the X-ravs’ ultra violet 'igiit playing on various materials used in photography, thus formerly invisible, hut now revealed by Mr Barnard’s apparatus. Sir George adds: “My own theory is there is a pigment in the human body which the rays excite."
