“A SOCIETY SCANDAL TO-NIGHT.
To-night at the Princess Theatre, Paramount presents an Allan Divan production .starring Gloria Swanson in “A Society Scandal/’ Disgraced. . . Marjorie Colbert, society beauty and central figure in society’s sensational scandal, found after the gruelling day in court that she was now society's outcast. Daniel Farr, attorney, has relentlessly attacked Marjorie, all day tearing her evidence to pieces and distorting facts till it would seem that she was the worst type of woman. But Marjorie swore vengeance on Danial Farr, and how she succeeded in the story of “A Society Scandal,’’ the latest Paramount Picture, which will he screened at the Princess Theatre to-night. This picture stars Gloria Swanson, and this talented actress is supported by Bod La Rocque as the attorney, and Ricardo Cortez. To satisfy a morbid, sensation satisfying people, Marjorie Colbert’s name was torn to shreds by a man to whom this woman’s life was less to him than the winning of the case. He would not believe good of lier, and lie twisted her story with harmful insinuations fill no one believed, and she swore to got even with him. to show him how little chance a. woman, or a man for that matter, had of keeping a good name when the yellow papers and the divorce courts had finished with them. And the story of this woman’s revenge is the story of the latest Paramount picture, “A Society Scandal” that will be screened to-night. On ’Wednesday a. "William Fox production “Ports of Call” and starring Edmond Taiwe will lie t.lie star attraction. On I.liursday little Jackio Coogan will be seen in his latest success “Little Robinson Crusoe,” and on Friday next the Special Master Picture “Captain Blood” starring J. Warren Kerrigan Special prices will be charged for tin’s feature.
