The New Zealand bowling tourney was opened this morning in fine weather. Sixteen greens used for the singles were in good order. Play is on the two life system and after the first round winners play winners and losers play losers. Entries for singles 2ofi, pairs 232, rinks 134. The singles and pairs is a record entry.
