A horse in a dray owned by Air C. D. Sparke.s of South Spit was crossing the railway bridge this afternoon about 2 o’clock, when it .stumbled and two lads who wore driving wore thrown out. The lioive became frightened and lioltod across the bridge, turned down the Quay, round tho Post Office and Cowie’s corner into Hamilton Street without harm. At Park and [Murdoch's corner it. tried to turn into Tailored Street, hut struck a Telegraph pole, which was smashed, and came down with a crash and fell across the horse. The animal was not injured in any way apparently, but the ends of the shafts of the dray wore broken. The telegraph wires came down with the pole.
