You won’t say. "Just another fight scene” alter seeing the big brawl in Hunt S: ronibcrg’s ’sensat iotud production of “The Fire Patrol." which opens at the Princess Theatre to-night. It's the fight scene in the history or pictures. There arc breathless moment-; when Johnny llarron ami Jack Richardson fall down a steep flight of Stairs and plunge over the broken bannisters to the Hour below lighting every inch of the way. Furniture overturns —lamps crash to darkness a human head crashes through the glass el a window- -a woman screamand prays—and still they light mercilessly. Nothing like it lots ever been seen before outside of the prize ring. It makes that famous old light in "The Spoilers" look like the relinking of a couple of friendly pups. Throughout Hunt Slrotnherg's production of "The Fire Patrol." now showing at the Princes- Theatre suspense is so cleverly aroused in each situation that the picture could develop into nothing bill a thriller. ’I here was no chance of it mis.-ing. For instance, in one scene, we see the- characters deftly dispersed so that Molly Thatcher, played by Madge Bellamy, will he alone in the house. The loro, whom Johnny llarron perl.ary-, i- out driving with .Molly’s sister. .Molly i; sobbing ahuie in llu- quaint old room. And then—-up the steps conns Weaver, the man whom everybody hate-. Ile comes slowly with his purpose written in the narrow eyes. And. Will, no audience will he lolling back in logo seats at this point. A good supporting series will also he presented on Friday. A paramount special starring Gloria Swanson in “Her Love Story" will he the big attraction supported by the “Sloe! Trail” (serial).
